According to a new survey, a whopping 77 percent of people in Japan are against plans to allow foreign spectators to attend this year's Tokyo Olympics.

They believe that a large influx of foreign fans could lead to a spike in new COVID-19 cases.

The survey also revealed that 48 percent of respondents were against having any spectators at all, just 3 percent MORE than the number of people who were in favour.

A decision on whether to allow overseas spectators will be made by the end of this month.
