Liverpool Hold Arsenal To EPL Stalemate

Arsenal missed the chance to open up an eight-point lead at the top of the EPL standings after they were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool at the Emirates this morning.

The result means the Gunners are now only six points ahead of both Man City and Aston Villa…while their five-match winning streak in the league has also come to an end.

The Reds – who started the game without recognized striker – remain in fourth place.

Real Madrid defeated Atletico 2-1, to book their place in the Spanish Super Cup final.

They will now face holders Barcelona for the trophy on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, PSG have won their fourth consecutive French Super Cup, after a 4-1 penalty shootout win over Marseille.

The match finished 2-2 at the end of regulation time.

Back home…the entire FAM executive committee is said to be considering a mass resignation, to take accountability for the recent naturalized player documentation controversy.

And, Malaysia’s Datuk Azizulhasni Awang has won the men’s elite keirin event at the ASEAN Track Series while compatriot Nurul Alyssa Farid took the gold in the women’s category.
