Slot: Liverpool Are Playing Better

Feb 09, 2026

slot: liverpool are playing better

Liverpool boss Arne Slot insists that his team is playing better than several months ago, despite their ongoing run of poor results.

He adds it's just a matter of time before the improved performances translate into positive match results.

Slot said this following their 2-1 home Premier League defeat to Manchester City.

The result means the Merseyside giants have only won one match in their last 7 games in the league.

--

Meanwhile Slot has a selection headache at right-back ahead of their mid-week clash against Sunderland, following Dominik Szoboslai's red card against City.

He has no fit established right backs due to injuries to players including Joe Gomez, Conner Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong.
