Dec 11, 2024

bwf finals: pearly-thinaah hit stumbling block

Pearly Tan/M Thinaah face a must-win game against their Indian opponents tomorrow, to keep their BWF World Tour Finals hopes alive.

This, after the Malaysian women's doubles pair lost their opening group game, against the World No.4 pair from Japan.

In the mixed doubles, Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei defeated fellow Malaysians Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Lai.

Struggling Man City will be looking to claim their 2nd win in 10 matches, when they travel to Juventus for tomorrow morning's Champions League clash.

City go into the game following their 2-2 Premier League draw against Crystal Palace, giving them a run of just 1 win in 9 matches in all competitions.

Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and John Stones are among the City players who are sidelined due to injury, but Phil Foden is back from illness.

Fifa has announced that the 2027 Women's World Cup will run from June 24th to the 25th of July.

The 2027 edition will be played in Brazil, the first time that the tournament is being held in South America.

--

And golf legend Tiger Woods will play alongside his son Charlie at an exhibition tournament in Florida next week.

It's his first match back after undergoing surgery in September.
