SEA GAMES: 6 Golds Collected Today!

sea games: 6 golds collected today!

Our SEA Games contingent has won 6 more gold medals today! 

This includes track and field athlete Grace Wong, who smashed both the Games and National records in the Hammer Throw event.  

We also claimed two gold medals in gymnastics, today. 

Sharul Aimy finished first in the Men's Vault event, while Yeap Kang Xian claimed gold in the Women's Balance Beam.  

Meanwhile, our Karate squad added two gold medals, after C. Shahmala Rani and K. Thevendran won their respective events.  

In addition to this, the Malaysian E-Sports team won gold for Magic Chess: Go Go, which is a demonstration event.  

Our contingent also claimed several Bronze Medals today, in events including Karate, Cricket and Shooting.

Also several of our SEA Games badminton players have reached the semifinals of their respective events.  

This includes the doubles pairs of Pearly Tan – M. Thinaah, Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, and Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee We and women's singles player Wong Ling Ching.

Elsewhere, the Youth and Sports Minister has instructed the National Sports Council to investigate claims that a sprinter was forced to fake an injury and withdraw from the SEA Games 4x100m squad.
