gyokeres faces suspension as transfer drags on

Viktor Gyokeres is facing disciplinary action by his club Sporting Lisbon after failing to report for pre-season training.

This, as the striker continues to push for a summer move to Arsenal.., despite the two clubs still unable to reach an agreement on a fee.

The Portuguese club are in no hurry to sell and are refusing to budge on their demands for 80 million euros in fees and add-ons.

-

In other developments, Chelsea are reportedly interested in PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has just a year remaining on his current deal with the Paris club.

-

Speaking of keepers, sources say Man United are still keen on Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez, although the two clubs are nowhere near agreeing on a valuation of the player.

-

Ex-Ajax, Man United and Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal says he’s been cured of cancer, and is now eyeing a return to management.

-

In tennis…Iga Swiatek has won the women’s title at Wimbledon after a dominant 6-0 6-0 victory over Amanda Anisimova.

She’s the first woman since 1911 to win the final without dropping a game.

-

And, Marc Marquez has won the sprint race at the German MotoGP, which is his 10th sprint victory of the season.
