Rashford Still Persona Non Grata

Jan 14, 2026

An image of Marcus Rashford and Ruben Amorim, whose falling out prompted Rashford's departure on loan.

Marcus Rashford's exile from Manchester United will continue despite Ruben Amorim's sacking.

According to reports, the club have no plans to bring the attacker back to Old Trafford once his current loan spell at Barcelona comes to an end.

Rashford has been sent out on loan since the second half of last season, after falling out with Amorim.

Meanwhile, United's newly appointed interim boss Michael Carrick has promised a more attacking and entertaining style of football under his leadership.

It's in contrast to Amorim's preferred style, which critics said was too conservative and lacked United's usual identity.
