More Rewards Await Olympic Medalists

More rewards await our national athletes who win medals at the Paris Olympics.

The Youth and Sports Minister says they’ve been contacted by several private companies who are keen to offer incentives, with details to be announced later.

The Ministry adds that the government’s official reward for the Olympics remains at one million ringgit for gold medalists, 300 thousand for silver medalists and one hundred thousand for those who bring home a bronze.

Uruguay have taken third place at the Copa America, after a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Canada this morning.

The match had ended 2-2 at the end of regulation time.

England are seeking their first major trophy since 1966…when they take on Spain in tomorrow morning’s Euro 2024 final.

Three Lions captain Harry Kane says his side are extra-motivated to do well…to make up for their penalty shootout defeat to Italy in the final of the last edition.
