Champions League: Bayern edge past PSG

Feb 15, 2023

champions league: bayern edge past psg

Bayern Munich have earned a 1-0 win over PSG in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie in Paris this morning.

Kingsley Coman’s second half goal was enough to secure an away advantage for the Bundesliga club.

PSG have now lost three consecutive matches in all competitions, and five overall this calendar year.

This is also the first time they’ve gone through such a slump in the Messi, Neymar and Mbappe era.

Meanwhile, Tottenham were defeated 1-0 by AC Milan in their last 16 tie at the San Siro.

Brahim Diaz netted early in the first half to give the Italian side a slim advantage in the return leg.

-

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is still unhappy, despite an apology from England’s referees body, for the VAR error that resulted in the Gunners’ 1-1 EPL draw with Brentford.

Arteta says he will only be satisfied if his team is given back the two points they lost, although he concedes this will not happen.

Saudi Arabia has been selected as the host for the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time, when the latest edition is held in December.

-

And Malaysia enjoyed an easy 5-0 win over the UAE in their opening Group B tie at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships.
