Liverpool had a player sent off, and had to come from behind twice to salvage a 2-2 EPL draw against Fulham at Anfield.

Diogo Jota netted the Red’s equalizer four minutes from time.

This is Liverpool’s second straight draw in the league and leaves them five points ahead of second-placed Chelsea, who will play Brentford tomorrow morning.

In other selected EPL results… Arsenal and Everton played out a goalless draw.

Newcastle thrashed Leicester City 4-0.

While Nottingham Forest pulled off a surprise 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

-

Over in La Liga…Real Madrid missed the chance to move top of the table after they were held to a 3-3 draw by Rayo Vallecano.

-

Closer to home…Malaysia have fallen to a 1-0 defeat to Thailand in their ASEAN Cup group tie in Bangkok.

Harimau Malaya now need to beat Singapore in their final group game next week to stand a chance of making the knockout round.

-

Malaysia’s Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin are through to the title decider at the BWF World Tour Finals.

The world number seven pair…who are making their debut at the tournament… fought back from a set down to beat Fajar Alfian and Rian Ardianto of Indonesia in yesterday’s men’s doubles semifinal.

Sze Fei and Izzuddin will next face Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Anders Rasmussen for the title later today.

Meanwhile, fellow Malaysians Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei will be battling Zheng Si Weng and Huang Ya Qiong of China in the mixed doubles final.
