Aaron Chia is refusing to give too much thought to the badminton men’s doubles grouping for the Paris Olympics.

He says he and is partner Soh Wooi Yik are ready for any challenge, and will take things one game at a time.

This, after Aaron and Wooi Yik were drawn together with the top-ranked pairing of Liang Wei Kang and Wang Chang of China in the group stage.

They will also face a British and Canadian pair in Group A…as they eye the country’s first ever Olympics gold medal.

The Youth and Sports Ministry will be extending assistance to national squash players S.Sivasangari, Ng Eain Yow, Aifa Azman and Aira Azman to help them prepare for the 2028 Olympics.

This will include coaching, sports science and medical support, as well as more foreign exposure.

Eddie Howe, Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel are reportedly on a shortlist of potential England managers, if Gareth Southgate opts to step down after their Euro 2024 defeat.

Southgate, whose contract expires in December, says he will need some time to make a decision about his future.

France’s all-time record goalscorer Olivier Giroud has announced his retirement from international football…after 137 appearances for the national team.

He’s the latest big-name to call time on their international career…after Germany’s Thomas Mueller and Switzerland’s Xherdan Shaqiri also confirmed that they will no longer play for their countries.
