barca and united turn on the style in entertaining draw

Man United and Barcelona have played out a highly-entertaining 2-2 draw in their Europa League play-off first leg in Spain this morning.

United were less than 15 minutes away from a famous win before Raphinha slotted in Barca’s equalizer, leaving all to play for in next week’s return leg.

Marcus Rashford was once again on the scoresheet for The Red Devils with what was his 22nd goal of the season in all competitions.

The England international is also the only player in Europe’s top five leagues to score 13 goals since the World Cup.

In other selected Europa League first leg play off results,

Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw with Nantes

Roma fell to a 1-0 defeat by RB Salzburg,

Sevilla enjoyed a 3-0 win over PSV Eindhoven,

While Ajax and Union Berlin played out a goalless draw.

Malaysia have finished as runners up of Group B at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship.

This, after they were beaten 4-1 by India in their final group match last night...with Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik salvaging a point for our shuttlers.

Malaysia will next take on China in the quarterfinals tonight.
