Arteta: Everyone Must Accept Blame Over Dropped Points

Feb 19, 2026

arteta: everyone must accept blame over dropped points

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says everyone must share the blame after the EPL leaders dropped points again, in this morning's 2-2 draw with Wolves.

He also admits that the Gunners have lacked consistency over the past few months, and this is something that they must fix.

Arsenal have now drawn two matches in a row – and in both cases the Gunners conceded after taking the early lead.

This morning's result means that Arsenal are just 5 points ahead of second placed Manchester City, having played one game more.

Uefa is opening a formal investigation into alleged racist abuse in Real Madrid's morning's Champions League knockout round playoff match against Benfica.

The match was halted for 10 minutes, after Real's Vinicius Jr accused a Benfica player of hurling racist insults towards him.

If found guilty, the Benfica player could be banned for up to 10 matches.

--

Meanwhile the anti-racism group Kick It Out has criticised Benfica boss Jose Mourinho for his response to the allegations.

The group accused Mourinho of gaslighting, after he suggested that the abuse was sparked by Vinicius's goal celebration.
