Jul 26, 2016

2 national records were shattered at the SUKMA Games in archery.

Farah Amalina Azhar of Kedah won the women's 30-meter recurve with 350 points, while M. Khambeswaran of Penang scored 360 points in the men's 30-meter compound, both archers break the previous records by just ONE point.

This as Johor swimmer Tia'a Faang Der won the 200 meters butterfly event in 2 minutes 2.93 seconds to break Lim Keng Liat's SUKMA games record 16 years ago.

Hosts Sarawak continued to top the medals tally with 30 gold, followed by Selangor with 23 gold, while defending champions Federal Territories are 3rd with 19 gold.
