Liverpool's backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has ruled out seeking a transfer in January.

This, after a proposed move failed to happen last summer.

The Irishman says getting regular first team football IS a priority, and he's confident he will see more action at Anfield, due to the of games they'll be playing this season.

Kelleher started in last night's 2-1 win over Chelsea, and will remain in the first-team for now as their no.1 stopper Alisson is out injured until after next month's Interntional break.

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Arne Slot says Diogo Jota is a serious doubt for their mid-week Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.

The attacker suffered an apparent injury during the win against Chelsea.

--

According to reports, former Barcelona boss Xavi is in talks to become manager of Qatar's national team, if they decide to replace the current boss.

Xavi has been in Qatar before, as he coached Al-Sadd prior to taking charge at Barca back in 2021.
