Archer S. Suresh – who won the men’s recurve at the 2019 World Para Archery Championship – was named National Paralympic Sportsman.

The 2019/2020 awards were supposed to be held in December last year, but the ceremony was postponed because of the massive flooding that hit parts of the country.

World number one Ashleigh Barty has announced her retirement from professional tennis at the age of just 25.

She’s calling it quits after winning three Grand Slam titles…including her home Australian Open earlier this year.

Barty says she’s retiring after having fulfilled her tennis goals, adding that she’s also fatigued by life on the Tour.

This marks Barty’s second retirement from the sport, having walked away as a teenager in 2014…before returning two years later.

Juventus are the latest team to join the race for Liverpool’s Mo Salah.

Reports say the Serie A club could offer the Egyptian striker as much as 10 million pounds per year…after freeing up their wage bill with the impending exit of Paulo Dybala.

Salah – who has just over 15 months remaining on his current contract – is also being pursued by the likes of Real Madrid and PSG.
