Arsenal's injury crisis has worsened, after Gabriel Martinelli limped off their EFL Cup quarterfinal match against Crystal Palace this morning.

He reportedly suffered a heavy knock to his knee.

Defender Piero Hincapie is also facing a spell on the sidelines after he suffered a shoulder problem in their recent EPL game against Everton.

They join Gabriel Magalhaes, Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera on the treatment table.

However, there is some good news for Arsenal, as Kai Havertz has returned to training after his injury lay-off.

The German attacker has been out since the opening day of the season due to a serious knee injury.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has backed defender Mickey Van de Ven, over the challenge that left Liverpool's Alexander Isak with a fractured leg.

He disputed Reds boss Arne Slot's claim that it was a reckless tackle.

Liverpool recently said that the injury will sideline Isak for around two months.
