Aston Villa are reportedly leaning towards signing Marcus Rashford on a permanent basis.

The forward is currently on loan from Man United until the end of the season and has impressed in his one start and three substitute appearances since arriving at Villa Park last month.

Insiders now say the club are prepared to pay up to 40 million pounds to make Rashford’s move permanent, which United are likely to accept given their need for transfer funds.

Man City have reportedly identified Portuguese international Diogo Costa as their top goalkeeping target for the summer.

The 25-year-old Porto captain is seen as a potential replacement for current City keeper Ederson, who’s been criticized for his performances this season.

JDT have won their 11th successive Malaysian Super League title.

Their 2-0 win over Perak last night has given them an unassailable lead in the standings ahead of second-placed Selangor.

The Southern Tigers have already won this season’s Charity Shield and FA Cup and will defend their Malaysia Cup title against Sri Pahang in the final this April.

National rider Nur Aisyah Mohamad Zubir has picked up a silver in the elite Points Race at the Asian Track Cycling Championship.

This is her second medal at the Championship, having also taken a silver in the scratch race over the weekend.

Meanwhile, fellow Malaysian Sawda Hasbullah’s mark in the 1km time trial event has been confirmed as a new world junior record.

The 17-year-old is also currently the Asian junior record holder.
