Jul 25, 2022

Malaysia’s Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun have won the men’s doubles title at the Taiwan Badminton Open.

They pulled off a shock win over Olympic champions Lee Yang and Wang Chi Lin…beating their higher-ranked opponents in three sets.

This is Wei Chong and Kai Wun’s second title of the year, having also won the Syed Modi International back in January.

Datuk Azizulhasni Awang has returned to light training…after undergoing heart surgery in April.

The national cycling star’s coach however told the NST, it will take some time before the Olympic silver medalist can return to his best.

The Pocket Rocketman is understood to have lost six kilograms of muscle mass since his operation.

Man United are reportedly turning their attention to Lazio midfielder Sergei Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serbia international is seen as a potential alternative to Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong, whose move to Old Trafford has apparently stalled.

Earlier reports had claimed United had reached a deal with Barca for De Jong…although the player himself is reluctant to leave.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has won the French F1 GP, taking the chequered flag ahead of the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.

Verstappen now holds a 63-point lead over Charles Leclerc in the standings, after the Ferrari driver and pole-sitter crashed out of yesterday’s race.
