Man Utd Confident Of Keeping Europa League Spot

May 28, 2024

man utd confident of europa league spot

Man United are confident they WILL be allowed to play in the Europa League next season.

United booked their place after beating Man City in the FA Cup final.

However, recent reports suggested that the club COULD be relegated to the Europa Conference League instead, due to co-owner Jim Ratcliffe's ties to French club Nice.

Nice had also qualified for the Europa League, which is a problem because under UEFA rules, two clubs that have the same owner cannot play in the same competition.

United are confident they can find a solution.

Liverpool are considering a move for Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.

The England under-21 stopper is likely a replacement for Caoimhin Kelleher, who's expected to leave Anfield to get regular first-team football.

--

Former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick is expected to complete his move to Barcelona tomorrow.

He will replace Xavi, who was sacked recently.

So far, three of our reps have reached the second round of the Singapore badminton Open.

Men's singles player Leong Jun Hao, who had a straight sets win over his Japanese opponent.

Men's doubles pairing of Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin, and the mixed doubles duo of Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei also moved into round 2.

However, Pearly Tan/M.Thinaah crashed out in the women's doubles.
