Barcelona are on the verge of Xavi appointment

Several reports say Barcelona could make an announcement by today about the appointment of their new manager.

It comes after ex-Barca midfielder Xavi is said to have agreed to take over from the sacked Ronald Koeman.

The Catalan club are now working to secure Xavi’s release from Qatari side Al Sadd…which will reportedly involve an 850 thousand pounds compensation.

Napoli have returned to the top of the Serie A standings, after a 3-0 win over Bologna this morning.

They are now unbeaten in 16 matches at home…stretching back to January.

Napoli currently lead AC Milan on goal difference…with champions Inter in third place…seven points off the pace.

National singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia has been urged to take a break…to avoid burn-out and injury.

The advice came from former national player Roslin Hashim…who feels that playing in four tournaments in a row is starting to take a physical toll on Zii Jia.

The 23-year-old recently suffered a shock first round defeat at the French Open…which followed his quarterfinal exit from the Denmark Open last week.

Zii Jia was also on the team for the Sudirman and Thomas Cup tournaments earlier this month.

Sydney is reportedly looking to take the Australian F1 GP away from Melbourne after 2025.

Sources say the plan is to create a street circuit around the city’s famous harbour, modelled after the venue for the Monaco GP.
