Lionel Messi has won this year’s Ballon d’Or Award.
It’s a record-extending seventh honour for the PSG and Argentina star.
Messi pipped Robert Lewandowski to the prize…although the Bayern Munich player took home the Striker of the Year award.
Jorginho was third on the overall list, ahead of Karim Benzema and Ngolo Kante.
Cristiano Ronaldo was sixth…the first time since 2010 he’s been out of the top three.
Mo Salah – who had been one of the pre-award favourites, was only ranked seventh out of the 30-man shortlist.
Meanwhile, Italy and PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma won the Yashin Trophy as the season’s best goalkeeper.

The nominees for the Puskas Award for goal of the year have been announced.
Among those in the running is Eric Lamela’s rabona goal for Tottenham in the North London derby against Arsenal.
Also nominated was Patrik Schick’s stunning strike from the halfway line as the Czech Republic beat Scotland at Euro 2020.
The winner will be announced during the FIFA awards in January.

Man United have officially appointed Ralf Rangnik as their interim manager until the end of the season.
After that spell, he will stay on at Old Trafford for a further two years in a consultancy role.
Rangnik’s first game in charge could be this week’s EPL tie against Arsenal, provided his work permit is ready in time.

Neymar has been ruled out for up to eight weeks with his latest ankle injury.
He picked up the problem in PSG’s league win over St Etienne over the weekend.
The Brazilian is expected to miss one European and seven league ties during his absence.
