Man City Keep Their Trophy Hopes Alive

Man City have kept their trophy hopes alive, with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush netted for the Citizens, who had to come from behind to secure the win.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford scored twice, as Aston Villa defeated Preston 3-0 in another quarterfinal tie.

City will next go on to face Nottingham Forest in the last four…while Villa are up against Crystal Palace.

Elsewhere, Barcelona have re-established their three-point lead at the summit of La Liga…after a comfortable 4-1 win over Girona.

Over in the Serie A…leaders Inter had a 2-1 win over Udinese…while second placed Napoli defeated AC Milan also by two goals to one.

Malaysia’s Jimmy Wong and Lai Pei Jing have finished as runners-up at the Vietnam International Challenge badminton event, in their first competitive tournament since starting their new mixed doubles partnership.

And, Francesco Bagnaia has won MotoGP’s Grand Prix of the Americas…taking the chequered flag ahead of Alex Marquez and Fabio di Giannantonio.
