Andy Murray undergoes second hip surgery

Jan 29, 2019

Britain's Andy Murray has confirmed he has undergone hip resurfacing surgery.

Murray has long been struggling with hip problems, and admitted at the Australian Open earlier this month, that he may be forced to retire this year.

The two-time Wimbledon champion initially debated having the procedure, in hopes to prolong his career.

While the operation does not guarantee Murray's return to action, it will allow him to live a pain-free life.

Solskjaer has plenty options to field ahead of Burnley clash

Man United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he's facing a selection dilemma, ahead of his side's EPL clash with Burnley tomorrow morning.

Solskjaer made several changes for their FA Cup tie at Arsenal, which saw Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial find the back of the net.

However, the Norwegian has also praised Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford since taking charge, and he has yet to single out a specific star in his plays.

Solskjaer himself was accustomed to demotions under Sir Alex Ferguson, who usually had four strikers to choose from.

Guardiola unsure about Kompany's future at City

Man City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that captain Vincent Kompany's future at the club remains uncertain.

The Belgian defender will be out of contract at the end of the season, and his recurring fitness issues have become a concern.

The 33-year-old, who has been hampered by injuries in recent seasons, has played only 14 times for City this campaign, and is even now sidelined.

However, Guardiola says they have no doubts about Kompany's quality, and insists they would only part ways if the player wanted it.
