Arsenal beat Newcastle to jump to third in Premier League

Arsenal have jumped to third in the Premier League table, after beating Newcastle 2-nil at the Emirates this morning.

Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring in the first half, before Alexandre Lacazette sealed the win for The Gunners in the second.

They are now two points ahead of Tottenham and Man United, having played the same number of matches.

The win was also the Gunners' 10th successive league victory at home - the first time they've achieved this since May 1998.

Jordan Pickford investigated over street brawl video

Everton are investigating an alleged incident involving their goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

A video posted on social media appears to show the 25-year-old at the centre of a street brawl in the UK with a member of the public.

The incident comes just weeks after Everton boss Marco Silva said Pickford needed to improve his 'emotional balance', following a series of erratic displays.

Liew Daren to take on Malaysia Open despite injury

Local men's singles shuttler Liew Daren will still participate at the Malaysia Badminton Open, even though he hasn't fully recovered from a leg injury.

He says it's crucial he pushes through, as he needs the points to help him qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
