A number of Premier League club doctors have raised concerns over plans to resume the season.

They say not enough attention has been given to the issues of insurance and liability if a player contracts the Covid-19 virus, and also complained about a lack of clarity over medical protocols and testing.

They’re now looking to convey their feedback to Premier League officials amid plans to re-start the campaign early next month.

Things slowly returning to normal for Italian clubs...

Sassuolo has become the first Serie A club to resume individual training, since the Italian season was halted due to the coronavirus.

Bologna, Atalanta and Inter Milan are also expected to follow suit this week.

Team training will only be allowed later this month, although its still not known when the Serie A season will resume.

Meanwhile, in Spain – one of the countries worst affected by the coronavirus - La Liga clubs are set to resume individual training this week, with a targeted return for the League set for next month as well.

It came as the Spanish football association agreed to a request by Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad, for the postponed Copa Del Rey final to be rescheduled to after Covid-19 is no longer a threat…so that the tie can be played with spectators.

F1 in for a bumpy ride

McLaren F1 boss Zak Brown concedes that Formula One will inevitably hit a glitch as the sport tries to complete this year’s disrupted season.

He foresees problems particularly with travel, with the logistical issues and increased risk of flying from Europe to Asia or America.

F1 is hoping to hold at least around 15 GP’s in 2020, with some circuits to host two back-back races.
