Cristiano Ronaldo set to plead guilty for tax fraud

Jul 27, 2018

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to a deal with Spanish authorities, to plead guilty on four counts of tax fraud he was charged with four years ago.

Last year, a Spanish prosecutor had accused him of using shell companies outside Spain, to hide income made from his image rights.

The 33-year-old is expected to pay a fine of up to 19 million euros, and accept a suspended two-years jail sentence.

The deal is expected to be finalised in the coming days.
