England, Croatia book passage into World Cup semis

England have reached a World Cup semi-final for the first time in nearly 30 years, after beating 2-nil in last night's clash in Samara, Russia.

Harry Maguire opened the scoring with a first-half header, before Dele Alli sealed England's win after the break.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate says he couldn't he couldn't be more proud of the team - having to withstand a lot of physical pressure from a tough and well-organised Swedish side. 

England will next face Croatia, who beat hosts Russia 4-3 on penalties. 

The match went to a shootout, after both sides ended level at 2-all, at the end of extra time.
