Everton boss sacked

Everton have confirmed that manager Sam Allardyce has left the club with immediate effect.

This after fans became increasingly frustrated with the team's style of football.

Allardyce's position was plunged into even greater uncertainty when the club underwent a major restructuring of the board without informing the 63-year-old.

Former Watford boss Marco Silva is the early front-runner to replace Allardyce, while Paulo Fonseca, Louis van Gaal and Arsene Wenger have also been linked with the post.
