Franz Beckenbauer is being investigated

Swiss prosecutors are reportedly investigating German football legend Franz Beckenbauer for money laundering and breach of trust in connection with the award of the 2006 World Cup hosting rights to Germany.
Beckenbauer was head of the organising committee for Germany's successful bid and previously admitted to making mistakes but denied any wrongdoing.
