Goh and Shevon stun Olympic champions

Jul 23, 2018

Malaysian mixed-doubles players Goh Soon Huat and Shevon Lai have won the Singapore Badminton Open, beating world number one pairing Lilyana Natsir and Tontowi Ahmad.

Soon Huat and Shevon needed just 36 minutes to pull off an impressive straight-sets win over their Indonesian opponents, who are also the Olympic champions.

The Malaysian pair says the win gives them a confidence boost, ahead of the World Championships later this month.
