Lewis Hamilton has won the British F1 GP in dramatic fashion, taking the chequered flag despite suffering a puncture on the final lap.

The Mercedes driver had led from the start and was cruising to a comfortable victory when he suffered the problem, but held his nerve to take the chequered flag.

"I had no choice. Survival instincts come over you. And that was what i was thinking. I've come all this way, im not going to pull over or back of completely and let everyone past me. So im thinking how can i get there...taking as much risk without losing the car altogether"

Hamilton came in ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

He has now won three races in a row, and holds a 30-point lead over his teammate Valtteri Bottas in the driver's standings.
