Hamilton survives late puncture to win British GP

Lewis Hamilton has won the British F1 GP in dramatic fashion, taking the chequered flag despite suffering a puncture on the final lap.
The Mercedes driver had led from the start and was cruising to a comfortable victory when he suffered the problem, but held his nerve to take the chequered flag.
"I had no choice. Survival instincts come over you. And that was what i was thinking. I've come all this way, im not going to pull over or back of completely and let everyone past me. So im thinking how can i get there...taking as much risk without losing the car altogether"

Hamilton came in ahead of Red Bull's Max Verstappen and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
He has now won three races in a row, and holds a 30-point lead over his teammate Valtteri Bottas in the driver's standings.
Schmeichel to be United no.1 again?
Man United are reportedly considering a surprise move for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

This, as current United stopper David de Gea comes under increasing pressure for a string of high-profile mistakes this past season.
Insiders say Schmeichel would be a good fit due to his Premiership and Champions League experience...while he is also the son of United's legendary keeper Peter Schmeichel.
Gunners are trying to hold on to Auba

Arsenal are said to be prepared to offer Pierre Emerick Aubameyang a new deal worth a quarter of a million pounds a week, to keep the striker at the Emirates.
The captain has been an influential figure in the team this past season, and scored both goals in their FA Cup win over Chelsea yesterday.
Aubameyang has a contract until next year, but has yet to commit to the Gunners, amid reported interest from elsewhere.
Kyrgios skips US Open
Nick Kyrgios has pulled out of the ucpoming US tennis Open due to concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic.
It comes just days after fellow Australian and women's world number one Ashleigh Barty also announced that she's skipping the Grand Slam.
