Havertz close to completing Chelsea move

Chelsea are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

Sources say both clubs have already agreed on a fee, with Havertz to undergo a medical before the transfer can be made official.

Once confirmed he will be The Blues' sixth signing of the year, after Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chillwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.

Man Utd also closing in on summer signing

Ajax midfielder Donny Van De Beek is said to have completed a medical ahead of his move to Man United. 

The deal, which is believed to be in the region of 40 million pounds, is expected to be completed in the coming days.

Sources say the 23-year-old will travel to the UK after he plays for the Netherlands in their Nations League fixtures this week. 

Coco exits US Open

Karolina Pliskova, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev are among the big names who've advanced to the second round of the US tennis Open.

However, home favourite Coco Gauff suffered an early exit, with the teenage sensation going down in three sets to Anastasija Sevastova in the opening round.
