It's Kvitova vs Osaka, and Nadal vs ...?

Jan 24, 2019

Tennis World No. 4 Naomi Osaka has made history, by becoming the first Japanese woman ever to reach the Australian Open final.

This, after 21-year-old defeated Czech Republic's Karolina Pliskova in three sets, in their semifinal clash.

Osaka will battle Petra Kvitova for the title, after the Czech earlier beat American Danielle Collins in straight sets.

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal reached the men's singles, without dropping a set.

This, after the 2009 champion continued his run of straight-sets victories, over Greek youngster Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Nadal will face either World No.1 Novak Djokovic or Frenchman Lucas Pouille, who will go head-to-head in their semifinal clash tomorrow.
