Lewis Hamilton seals sixth F1 world title
Nov 04, 2019
Lewis Hamilton is the 2019 Formula One world champion.
His second-placed finish at the US GP was enough for him to seal the title, ahead of his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas, who won this morning's race in Texas.
This is Hamilton's sixth world title overall, but the Brit says he has no intention of slowing down:
"I don't know about championships, but as an athlete I feel fresh as can be right now, so I'm ready for the next race. These next races we won't let up, we'll keep pushing."
Hamilton is now the second-most succesful F1 driver of all time - just one title short of the record held by the great Michael Schumacher.

Leicester beat Crystal Palace to move to third in EPL
Leicester City have moved back up to third in the Premiership standings, with a 2-nil win away to Crystal Palace.
The Foxes are now level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea, and just two points behind second-placed Man City.
Manager Brendan Rodgers, however told beIN Sport, a top-four finish this season is the last thing on his mind at the moment:
"I'm not even thinking about it. It's only 11 games. We just focus on getting better as a team and as individual players, and then we'll see where that takes us at the end of the season."
Elsewhere, Everton scored a late equaliser to hold Tottenham to a 1-all draw at Goodison Park, in a match that was overshadowed by a horrific injury sustained by Toffees midfielder Andre Gomes.

Malaysia will not feature in hockey at Tokyo 2020
The Malaysian hockey team has missed out on a place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Speedy Tigers lost to Great Britain in their qualifying playoff, falling 5-2 in the second match last night, to complete a 9-3 defeat on aggregate.
The result means the Malaysian team will have to wait another four years, to end its nearly two decade-long absense from the Olympic hockey competition.
