Liverpool's back on top!

Mar 18, 2019

Liverpool have returned to the top of the Premier League table, after a 2-1 victory at Fulham.

The match was tied at a goal apiece, before James Milner sealed the win for the visitors with a penalty in the 81st minute.

The Reds are now two points ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand heading into the international break.

Boss Jurgen Klopp, however, isn't getting carried away, and knows exactly what Liverpool need to do, with just seven games to go this season.

"It's always clear that City don't look like they drop a lot of points. So we have to win and to win and to win. That's our job to do."

Elsewhere, Chelsea's hopes of a top-four Premier League finish have suffered a blow, following a 2-nil defeat at Everton.

Boss Maurizio Sarri says he "can't explain" what happened, and is "worried" by their second-half performance.

"I don't know because we played the first half really very well; probably the best 45 mins of the season. And then suddenly at the beginning of the second half, we stopped. So it's very diffcult to explain."

The result keeps The Blues three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

Brighton have reached the FA Cup semifinals for the first time since 1983, after a 2-all draw at Millwall.

The visitors came from two goals down with just two minutes left, before beating Millwall 5-4 on penalties.

The Seagulls will next face Man City for a spot in the final.
