Jan 31, 2019

Reds Slip

Liverpool have missed the chance to go seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester at Anfield this morning.

Sadio Mane had given the Reds an early lead, but Harry Maguire responded for the Foxes to earn them a share of the points.

The result leaves Liverpool five points on top of second-placed Man City.

Blues Crumble

Chelsea suffered their heaviest league defeat since 1996, after falling to a surprise 4-0 loss to Bournemouth.

The match also saw new signing Gonzalo Higuain make his League debut for The Blues, although he failed to register a single shot on goal during his 65 minutes on the pitch.

The defeat sees Chelsea drop to fifth in the standings.

This, as Tottenham kept up the pace with the League's top two sides...fighting from a goal down to beat Watford 2-1.

Spurs remain in third - two points adrift of second-placed Man City.

Barca Advance

Barcelona are through to the semifinals of the Copa Del Rey - overcoming a 2-0 first leg deficit against Sevilla.

Barca won 6-1 at the Nou Camp in the second leg of their quarterfinal, to advance 6-3 on aggregate.
