Loss to Everton leaves Palace 2 points above relegation zone

Crystal Palace paid the price for a missed penalty, after they conceded 2 late goals and lost 2-nil to Everton at Goodison Park.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson believes the penalty miss helped spur the hosts on.

"The penalty miss definitely lifted the crowd. They really got behind the team. They were able to risk a bit more and pushed us a bit further back. But even then I think it was harsh that we conceded a goal because our defending was good."  

The result leaves Palace two points above the relegation zone.
