Mourinho hits a milestone as Tottenham beat Everton

Jul 07, 2020

Tottenham kept their hopes of European football alive, with a 1-0 Premiership win over Everton this morning.

It moves Spurs up to eighth in the standings, keeping them in contention for a spot in next season’s Europa League.

This was also Jose Mourinho’s 200th win as a Premier League manager.

He’s only the fifth manager after Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp and David Moyes to hit the milestone.

"Messi will stay"

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu is confident that star player Lionel Messi will remain with the club until the end of his career.

He dismissed reports that the Argentine is unwilling to renew his contract, adding that the player himself has said that he wants to stay.

It comes amid intense speculation that Messi could be on his way out, having apparently grown frustrated at their results and how the club is being run.

Gunners want to keep Ceballos

Arsenal are reportedly keen to keep on-loan midfielder Dani Ceballos at the club beyond this season.

Ceballos endured a difficult start with the Gunners, but has since gone on to play an important role in their revival since the season restarted.

Negotiations with his parent club Real Madrid are currently underway.

Calls for tougher penalties in F1

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko is calling for tougher penalties in F1, especially for those who cost other drivers the race.

He says its unfair that Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton was allowed to finish in the points at the Austrian GP, despite colliding with Red Bull’s Alexander Albon, costing him a potential podium finish.

Hamilton was only given a five-second penalty, which demoted him from second to fourth in the final race standings.
