Nadal confident of being OK!

Tennis star Rafa Nadal is confident of being able to make next month's Australian Open.

However, Nadal, who last played competitively in September and recently underwent ankle surgery, says it will be baby steps for now.

The Spaniard is currently participating in an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi as part of his warm up for the opening Grand Slam event on Jan 14th.

Liverpool's Mo Salah has escaped FA action for allegedly diving to win a penalty, in their win over Newcastle at Anfield this week.

The FA concluded there was no grounds to charge the striker, because there had indeed been minimal contact by Magpies'Paul Dummet before the Egyptian went down.

Seperately, West Ham powered up to ninth in the Premier League table, after they defeated  Southampton 2-1 this morning.
