Novak Djokovic takes first step in defending Aus Open title

Novak Djokovic has begun his Australian Tennis Open title defence on a high, after a hard-fought four-set victory over Jan-Lennard Struff.

It's the first time that Djokovic has dropped a set in the opening round of the tournament since 2006.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, Roger Federer and Grigor Dmitrov are among the other big names who powered into Round 2 last night.

Inter Milan push forward with Christian Eriksen deal

Inter Milan are reportedly willing to pay 11 million pounds plus two bonuses, to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham this month.

Inter had previously offered 8.5 million for Eriksen, but Spurs are still holding out for their 17 million valuation.

However, Inter are determined to push a deal through, and are set to hold further talks with Spurs to discuss the situation later today.

Man Utd keeper Sergio Romero unhurt after car crash

Manchester United have confirmed that second-choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero suffered no injuries, after being involved in a car crash yesterday.

Images showing his car smashed up near United's Carrington training ground went viral on social media, sparking fears over his well-being.
