Pocket Rocket Man Named Athlete of the Year

Azizulhasni Awang has won his third Athlete of the Year prize, at the Sportswriters Association of Malaysia Awards. 

The track cyclist is the 2nd athlete to win it 3 times, after diver Pandalela Rinong. 

Meanwhile powerlifter Bonnie Bunyau Gustin was named Para Athlete of the year.

US Open: Osaka will continue to protest against racial injustice

Naomi Osaka says she will continue to highlight issues of racial injustice at the ongoing US tennis Open. 

In the opening round, Osaka, who is half black, wore a face mask bearing the name of an African American woman who was shot by police 

She plans to wear a mask bearing the name of a different shooting victim for each round that she remains in this year's tournament.

Hamilton: Don't blame drivers if you think F1 is boring

Lewis Hamilton says fans shouldn't blame F1 drivers of they feel that Mercedes’ dominance has made the sport boring. 

The championship leader says instead, they should blame the decision makers, because they are the ones that designed the cars and set the rules that have made his team dominant. 

This, after Hamilton won the Belgian GP after leading from start to finish, to claim his 5th win in 7 races this year.
