Roger Federer paves path to Wimbledon with 10th Halle Open win

Roger Federer has made history at the Halle Tennis Open in Germany, after defeating David Goffin in straight sets to win a record 10th title at the tournament.

This is the first time the 38-year-old has earned 10 crowns at one tournament, joining only Rafael Nadal in achieving the feat.

This is also Federer's 102nd tour-level title, moving to within seven trophies of Jimmy Connors' record of 109.

Soong Joo Ven claims maiden international title

National men's singles shuttler Soong Joo Ven has won his first Malaysia International Series title, after defeating compatriot Cheam Jun Wei in straight sets in the final.

The 24-year-old says his target this year is to play in bigger tournaments, and at least reach No. 40 in the world rankings.

Joo Ven is currently in 66th position.

Meanwhile, Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah took home the women's doubles title, with a hard-fought three-set victory over their Indonesian opponents.

Lewis Hamilton wins French GP

Lewis Hamilton has taken the chequered flag at the sixth F1 GP of the season in France.

The Mercedes driver finished the race a staggering 18 secs ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas in second place.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished third, while Sebastian Vettel took fourth place.
