Feb 09, 2019
And the winners for January are...
Man United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for January, following the Red Devils' unbeaten run since he took charge.
He is the first United manager to receive the award since Sir Alex Ferguson in October 2012.
United forward Marcus Rashford won the Player of the Month prize, having scored three goals in four league matches last month.

The Tottenham striker has been out since damaging his ankle last month, and was initially ruled out until March.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, however, says Kane's recovery has been going well, with the skipper eyeing a return in the Premiership match against Burnley later this month.
Nantes honour Sala
French club Nantes say they will retire the number 9 shirt worn by their beloved former striker Emiliano Sala, who was tragically killed in a plane crash last month.

The private aircraft went down in the English Channel as Sala was making his way to Cardiff, just two days after he signed a contract to join the Premiership side.
The players and coaching staff at Nantes have also said they want to attend Sala's funeral in Argentina, and may request for their league matches to be rescheduled to accomodate this.

Titles over ranking
Roger Federer says he's done chasing the world number one spot, and wants to focus on winning more titles.
The Swiss says his priorities have shifted as a 37-year-old player, explaining that doing well in tournaments is more important than ranking.
Federer plans to play in the Dubai Championships later this month, as well as Indian Wells and the Miami Masters in March before deciding which other tournaments to play in the leadup to the French Open.
