TOC: Nicol suffers round of 16 exit!

National squash player Datuk Nicol David has crashed out of the Tournament of Champions in New York!

The 2014 winner went down 3-1 to world no.4 Joelle King in Round 4.

Nicol's exit means there are no more Msian reps left in the women's draw, as Low Wee Wern and S.Sivasangari suffered exits in the earlier rounds.

Serena Williams is thru to the quarterfinals of the Australian Tennis Open after she took out top seed Simona Halep in the last 16.

Meanwhile, Kei Nishikori made the cut to the last 8 of the men's draw courtesy of a five-set win over Pablo Carreno Busta.

Up next for Nishikori is a showdown against world number one Novak Djokovic.

And, Championship side Derby County have signed ex-England defender Ashley Cole until the end of the season.

He will reunite with former Chelsea and Three Lions teammate Frank Lampard, who is now Derby's manager.
