Tsitsipas defeats Federer, and now Bautista Agut

Jan 22, 2019

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas beat Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut in four sets to continue his superb run at the Australian Open, and reach his first-ever Grand Slam semi-finals.

At 20-years-old, Tsitsipas is the youngest man to reach the last four of a Grand Slam since Novak Djokovic at the 2007 US Open.

He will next face the winner of the other quarterfinal clash today, between Rafael Nadal and Frances Tiafoe.

Over in the women's draw, Czech Republic's Petra Kvitova has advanced to the semis, after beating Aussie Ashleigh Barty in straight sets.

Earlier, American Danielle Collins also progressed, after a three-sets win over Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
