Williams may sell F1 team after huge financial loss

May 29, 2020

Williams is considering selling the Formula 1 team, after a dip in the company's financial results.

The company reported a loss of 13 million pounds last year, against profits of 12.9 million in 2018.

The once-dominant F1 team, who have finished bottom of the standings in the previous two seasons, have also confirmed that they have ended their relationship with their sponsor with immediate effect.

Williams has yet to receive any formal approaches, but say they are in preliminary discussions with a few potential investors.

Man United and Shanghai Shenhua still in talks over Odion Ighalo loan deal

Manchester United only have about a day left to convince Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, to allow star player Odion Ighalo to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

United want to keep Ighalo for the remainder of the Premier League season, but insist the "ball is in Shenhua's court", with the delayed Chinese Super League season set to start in June.

Ighalo’s initial loan deal agreed in January is due to expire tomorrow, and the two clubs will have to reach a fresh agreement for the striker to stay.

Shenhua have been reluctant to agree to an extension but negotiations are ongoing.
