Wolves fight back to stun Chelsea

Dec 16, 2020

Pedro Neto scored an injury-time winner as Wolves came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the Premiership this morning.

Victory for the Blues would have seen them go top of the table at least for 24 hours.

This is also the second straight defeat for Chelsea after they were beaten by Everton last weekend.

Another match this morning saw Man City held to a 1-1 home draw by West Brom.

It is the first point the Baggies have won at the Etihad since 2005.

The result leaves City three points off the top four – while West Brom remain second-from-bottom.

The latest from the Messi rumour mill

Lionel Messi’s agent has rubbished reports that he’s already met with PSG about a summer move for the Barcelona star – calling it fake news.

It comes amid speculation that a deal has already been agreed for the player to move to the French capital, once his current contract is up at the end of the season.

Insiders, however, say the denial from Messi’s camp is merely a formality, as they don’t want to make an official announcement until the current season is over.

Meanwhile, separate French reports claim that PSG are already preparing for Messi’s arrival, and are even getting ready for a surge in demand for replica jerseys when the move is finally completed.

Ozil denies contract buy-out

Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil has rubbished reports he could try and buy out his Gunners contract next month.

The player’s agent confirmed that Ozil will remain at the Emirates until his current deal expires in June, even though he’s been left out of Arsenal’s Premiership and Europa League squads.
