Pearly/Thinaah Make Olympic History!

Pearly Tan/M. Thinaah have made history at the Paris Olympics.  

They've become the first Malaysian women's doubles badminton pair to reach the semifinals of the games, after beating their Korean opponents in the last-eight.  

Pearly and Thinaah will face the world no.1 pair from China in the semis.  

They've already faced each other once in Paris, losing to the top seeds in the Group stage.

In today's pre-season football friendly matches:  

Liverpool defeated Arsenal 2-1  

Man United beat Real Betis 3-2  

And Chelsea had a 3-0 win over Club America.

Reports say that new Man United signing Leny Yoro is facing a three-month injury layoff, after picking up a foot problem in their recent friendly against Arsenal.  

Meanwhile Rasmus Højlund will be out for six weeks with a hamstring injury.
