The Malaysian contingent has picked up its first medal at the Paris Paralympics.

It came via Eddy Bernard, who won the bronze in the men’s T44 100m sprint.

His time of 11.58 seconds was also a new Asian record.

We’ve also got at least one more medal on the way…after defending champion Cheah Liek Hou made the final of the para-badminton event.

Compatriot Mohamad Fareez Annuar will be hoping to add to the tally, when he takes part in the badminton bronze medal match.

Liverpool have maintained their perfect start to the EPL season, after beating Man United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Luis Diaz put the Reds comfortably ahead with two first half goals before Mo Salah sealed the win in the 56th minute with what was his 12th goal in 15 appearances against the Red Devils.

In other EPL results… Newcastle recorded a 2-1 win over Tottenham.

While Chelsea and Crystal Palace played out a 1-1 draw.

Over in Spain…Real Madrid defeated Real Betis 2-0…in a match that saw Kylian Mbappe finally score his first La Liga goals.

Charles Leclerc has won the Italian F1 GP, giving Ferrari a valuable victory in front of its home supporters.

The McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris finished second and third respectively.

Marc Marquez has won the Aragon MotoGP, more than a thousand days since his last victory in the premier class.

And, defending champion Coco Gauff has crashed out of the US tennis Open after a three-sets defeat to Emma Navarro in the last-16.
